• Checking of baggage, cargo, containers, conveyances, goods, postal parcels and human remains departing and arriving are free ofsource of infections and contaminations including vectors and reservoirs.

• Ensure as far as practicable, that facilities used by travelers at points of entry are maintained in a sanitary condition and are kept free of sources of infection or contamination including vectors and reservoirs (As per IHR)

• Supervision of any disinfection, disinsection or decontamination of baggage, cargo containers, conveyances, goods, postal parcels, human remains or sanitary measures as appropriate under these rule.

• Supervisions of removal and safe disposal of any contaminated water, food, human or animal excreta, waste water and other contaminated matter from a conveyance and airport premises.

• Take all practicable measures consistent with these rules to monitor and control the potentially disease causing matter which might contaminate the airport.

• Supervision of services concerning travelers, baggages, cargo, containers, conveyances, goods, postal parcels and human remains at points of entry provided by the service providers including the conduct and inspections and medical examinations if necessary.

• Contingency arrangements to deal with an unexpected public health event.

• Communicate with National IHR Focal Points on the relevant public health measures taken pursuant to these rules.

• Health measures for travelers, baggages, cargo, containers, conveyances, goods, postal parcels and human remains arriving from an affected area may consider reapplication on arrival, if there are verifiable indications and or evidence that the measures applied on departure from the affected areas were unsuccessful.
• Vaccination: Yellow Fever and Polio vaccine given on every Tuesday & Thursday. One day Prior Booking is required. Vaccination Charge Rs.300/- per Vaccine. Yellow Fever vaccine needs to be taken at least 10 days before travel to the yellow fever affected countries and the certificate will remain valid for 10 years.
Yellow fever affected countries: Central and South America- Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Panama, Peru, Surinam, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela (12 countries) African Countries- Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Togo, Uganda, Zaire, Zambia (31 countries)

• Quarantine and Isolation: When any passenger without valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate disembarks in NSCBI Airport after visiting the following Yellow Fever Zones / Countries within six days of departure from the yellow fever affected countries.
• Water sample examination : To ensure pure drinking water in the Airport including in all sorts of Food establishments and Aircrafts

• Sanitary inspection and food hygiene of all sorts of Food establishments , Flight Kitchens and Aircrafts

• Impart training to Immigration Officials in relation to Yellow Fever & PHEIC

• Disinsection & Disinfection of Aircrafts as per WHO guidelines.

• Scrutiny of "General Declaration" given by Pilot in Command and application of the health measures

• Clearance of Dead bodies / Human Remains / ashes brought from Foreign Countries

• To undertake vector surveillance in and Airport premises

• Medical examination of International Passengers as and when required.

• Attending Aircraft emergencies and death on board

• Monitoring of traveller, Aircraft, baggages, parcel etc to find out any infection and contamination
